EQUIPMENT FOR CARGO
CARGO SPACE DEFINITION
TYPE OF CARGO SPACES
Cargo tanks totally independent from hull structure and carried by special supports and keys. 5 cargo tanks are designed to carry bitumen and 6 cargo tanks to carry molten sulphur. Except cargo tank no 1 on fore side, cargo tanks are separated by longitudinal and transverse corrugated bulkheads.
NUMBER OF CARGO COMPARTMENT
11 Cargo Tanks + 2 integrated slop tanks
MAX CARGO DENSITY
1.32 t/m³ at 250 °C for asphalt tanks, 1.85 t/m³ at 160 °C. for Molten Sulphur.
CARGO MANIFOLDS
Four DN250 manifold line to be fitted on deck amidship port and starbord two of them for asphalt others are for molten sulphur. The distance between manifolds at least to 1.5 meter. Each manifold line to be fitted with sample cocks, manometer, termometer gauges at both sides and pressure transmitter.
DECK CRANES FOR CARGO
1 pc electro hydraulic driven SWL 5 t 15 m deck crane on manifold area.
CARGO SYSTEM
The cargo system is arranged with four segregrations with double valve. Sulphur and asphalt are never loaded simultaneously.
CARGO DISCHARGE CAPACITY
Total discharging capacity is 716 m³/h for molten sulphur, 800 m³/h for bitumen.
CARGO PUMPS
BORNEMANN, 2 x 400 m³/h, 12 bar, 1500 rpm, heat jacketed by thermal oil, for bitumen / 2 x 337 m³/h, 12 bar, 1500 rpm, heat jacketed by thermal oil, for molten sulphur.
CARGO PIPES & FITTINGS
Cargo pipes are class II type mild steel pipe. The connections to be of butt welded if possible. The pipelines to pass through cargo tank inside. One DN250 pipe line for filling and discharge to be arranged in tanks and each tank valve to be located in pump room.
CARGO SYSTEM VALVES
BERG, Cargo tank valves are DN250 double action hydraulically remote operated from CCR, bady GGG40.3, seat and disk steel. The cargo tank valves are fitted close to bulkhead. Cargo manifold valves are DN250 manual operated butterfly valve, wafer type body GGG40.3, seat and disk steel. Valves in cargo pump room are double action hydraulically remote operated from CCR body GGG40.3, seat and disk steel.
SEPARATE STRIPPING SYSTEM
DN100 stripping line to be fitted also in suction well to achieve to comply the IMO II stripping requirements.
FREEZING, REFRIGERATING & HEATING SYSTEM FOR CARGO
Each cargo tank is heated with two loops heating coils lying on the tank bottom and one loop on tower. Heating coils length in bitumen tanks are sufficient to keep the cargo temprature 250 C and 70 C/day heating up. Heating coils length in molten sulphur tanks are sufficient to keep the cargo temprature 150 C and 2.40 C/day heating up.
CARGO VENTILATION SYSTEM
Each cargo tank is arranged with DN200 removable open type ventilation pipe. Vent pipe end fitted with cowl open to upwards. Small heating line arranged inside of the vent pipe to prevent freezing.
TANK CLEANING SYSTEM
Two pcs portable tank cleaning machines each 7 m³/h, 8 bar with 15 m hoses and hose saddle to be kept in deck store for emergency and/or efficient tank cleaning operations.
