GENERAL INFORMATION
SHIP TYPE TANKER FOR CHEMICALS IMO II & OIL PRODUCTS
DESIGN CRITERIA Ice-strenghtened, single decked, single screw motor ship with double bottom and double skin with coated cargo tanks. No steel structure facing into the cargo tanks. The hull form is designed for minimum resistance, overall design provides an environmentally friendly, cost-effective, reliable and flexible unit. One deep-well pump for each tank and complete segregation for each cargo tank, one vapour return line.

The vessel is constructed throughout of steel plates and sections of approved shipbuilding quality, tested and approved by the Classification Society. All elements within the Cargo Tanks, elements on shell-plating, elements on liquid fuels bulkheads, elements on open-decks and elements subject to Class requirements to be welded on double-continuous.

CARGO MANIFOLDS
Cargo tank manifold lines are designed so that each manifold is located at the corners of an equivalent triangle.

CARGO SYSTEM
Cargo manifold system is designed so that 13 different substances can be loaded/ unloaded at the same time. Also a unique substance can be loaded / unloaded to/from all tanks by means of the two common lines located aft and fore of cargo manifold. Cargo system can be controlled from cargo control room by means of the cargo monitoring system, converters, valve remote control system and hydraulic power pack discussed below.

1200 m³/h , The cargo discharge system of the ship is capable of discharging 6 tanks at the same time in full capacity.

CARGO PIPES & FITTINGS
The material of the cargo pipe and flanges is St Steel 316L 1.4404. DN 25 x sch 5s, for stripping pipes, DN150 x 3.0 mm for cargo discharge, filling, manifold pipes, DN250 x sch 5s for common and stern pipes. Except valve, spool pieces etc connections cargo pipes are joined butt-welded type full penetration. Valve and spool pieces connections are to be of the neck flange (DIN 2633 PN16 316L).
CARGO SYSTEM VALVES
Cargo transfer systems have butterfly valves capable of being remotely operated on each tank filling and discharge line and two manually operated ball valves on manifold line port and starboard side. Valve and spool pieces connections are to be of neck flanged (DIN2633 PN16 ).
SEPARATE STRIPPING SYSTEM
There are two kinds of stripping procedures applying for this vessel. Cargo tanks 6P&S, 5P&S,4P&S at aft of the manifold and cargo tanks 3P&S, 2P&S, 1 P&S, SLOP at fore of the manifold. Stripping is done by using compressed air or nitrogen when substances can not face to contact the air i.e oxygen.
FREEZING, REFRIGERATING & HEATING SYSTEM FOR CARGO
Heating Coils, thermal oil.
INERT GAS SYSTEM
Nitrogen generating system is designed so that to fill all cargo tanks and slop tank volumes at the same time for both padding and inerting purposes, additionally cargo pump and pipe stripping. Nitrogen generating system is connected to the vapour return main line via stop valve isolating the both system. The air supply compressors for the unit are located in the engine room. The cargo tank inlet pressure of nitrogen gas is 0.13 bar. System is also can be used for stripping and purging purpose as well.
CARGO VENTILATION SYSTEM
Designed for closed loading and discharge. Separate vent lines and P/V valves for each cargo tank, gathered to central venting towers and connected by shut–off valves to gas return/vapour ashore lines. Tank venting by means of 4 portable fans, air driven.
