GENERAL INFORMATION
SHIP TYPE TANKER FOR CHEMICALS IMO II & OIL PRODUCTS
DESIGN CRITERIA Ice-strenghtened, single decked, single screw motor ship with double bottom and double skin with stainless steel cargo tanks. The hull form is designed for minimum resistance, overall design provides an environmentally friendly, cost-effective, reliable and flexible unit. One deep-well pump for each tank and complete segregation, one vapour return line. Trunk on main deck from poop to forecastle.

HULL MATERIALS
The vessel to be constructed throughout of steel plates and sections of approved shipbuilding quality, tested and approved by the Classification Society. In general, continuous and scallop welding to be adapted. Intermittent welds may be adopted where allowed by the Classification Society.

CARGO MANIFOLDS
Cargo tank manifold lines are designed so that each manifold is located at the corners of an equivalent triangle. Manifold valves are operated from catwalk.

CARGO SYSTEM
Cargo system is designed so that 11 different substances can be loaded/ unloaded at the same time. Also a unique substance can be loaded / unloaded to/from all tanks by means of the two common lines located aft and fore of cargo manifold.
CARGO DISCHARGE CAPACITY
Simultaneously operation of six cargo pumps supply the vessel to discharge full cargo not more than 8 hours.

CARGO PIPES & FITTINGS
Cargo piping materials are DN 25 x sch 10s stainless steel welded 316L 1.4404 for stripping pipes, DN125 x 2.1 mm stainless steel welded 316L 1.4404 for cargo discharge, filling, manifold pipes, DN200 x 2.8 mm stainless steel welded 316L 1.4404 for common lines. In addition, stainless steel 316L welded tees, eccentric/ concentric reducers, elbows, blind flanges, neck flanges, clamps and fasteners are used. Except valve, spool pieces etc connections cargo pipes are joined butt welded type full penetration. Valve and spool pieces connections are to be of the neck flange (DIN2633 PN16 ).
CARGO SYSTEM VALVES
Cargo transfer systems have butterfly valves capable of being remotely operated on each tank filling and discharge line and two manually operated butterfly valves manifold line port and starboard side.
SEPARATE STRIPPING SYSTEM
There are two kinds of stripping procedures applying for this vessel. Cargo tanks 6P&S, 5P&S,4P&S at aft of the manifold and cargo tanks 3P&S, 2P&S, slop at fore of the manifold. Stripping is done by using compressed air or nitrogen when substances can not face to contact the air i.e oxygen.
FREEZING, REFRIGERATING & HEATING SYSTEM FOR CARGO
Stainless Steel heating coils, steam.
INERT GAS SYSTEM
Nitrogen system is designed so that to fill 95% ullage volume of all cargo tanks and slop tank at the same time. Nitrogen main pipes connected to each tank cargo access hatch by means of fix pipe lines. System contain 10 pieces of 50 lt, 200 bar nitrogen tube, control cabinet.System is also used for stripping and purging purpose as well.
CARGO VENTILATION SYSTEM
A fixed gas freeing fan and line is fitted on deck. Gas freeing fan, located inside tank drying fan room and being capable of ventilating 2 cargo tanks at the same time, is anti- sparking type and its electric motor is suitable ex-proof type. Fixed gas freeing line is DN350. Gas freeing line is connected to the cargo tank portable tank cleaning hatch by means of the flexible hoses nominal diameter is DN300. Gas freeing fan is 7000 m³/h, 1200 Pa. An air heater also fitted beyond of the gas freeing fan. Heater capacity 100 kW with thermal oil in-outlet 140-180 C.
